A&O Shearman has advised Scentre Group on its successful return to the European bond markets, assisting with the pricing of EUR500 million fixed-rate notes due 2033. This marks Scentre Group's first transaction in these markets since 2019 and was completed under its recently updated EUR10 billion Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme, which A&O Shearman also advised on. The transaction signifies a strategic milestone for Scentre Group, showcasing continued investor confidence in Australian issuers within the European market. A&O Shearman played a crucial role in updating the EMTN programme and guiding Scentre Group through the issuance process, leveraging its extensive capital markets and regulatory expertise. The A&O Shearman team was led by International Debt Capital Markets partner Minesh Patel, with support from senior associate Yin Lim and lawyer Edward Ren. The fully integrated team spanned over ten jurisdictions, with European and London teams led by Nick Williams, Emma Danforth, and Olivia Butcher, who advised on UK and EU regulatory matters.
