EDF Announces Results of Bond Buyback and New Green Bond Issuance

"On October 7, 2025, EDF announced the results of its buyback offer launched on September 29, 2025, for its super-subordinated bonds. EDF repurchased €218.5 million of its Euro bonds and £469.1 million of its Sterling bonds. Additionally, EDF issued new green super-subordinated bonds totaling €1.25 billion with an initial coupon of 4.375% and a redemption option in 5.5 years, listed on Euronext Paris. Jones Day advised EDF on the buyback and new issuance, while Allen Overy Sherman Sterling LLP advised the participating banks."

The transaction involved EDF's buyback of its super-subordinated perpetual bonds, including €218.5 million of its Euro tranche and £469.1 million of its Sterling tranche. Additionally, EDF issued new green super-subordinated perpetual bonds totaling €1.25 billion, with an initial coupon of 4.375% and a redemption option at 5.5 years, which are admitted for trading on the regulated market of Euronext Paris.
