"Dentons HPRP's aviation team has successfully guided ABFA Investments in acquiring five ATR 72-212A aircraft from NAM Air through a complex two-layered transaction involving multiple jurisdictions. The aircraft, previously mortgaged to the Export-Import Bank of Malaysia, were legally transferred to Summit Aerospace Services before being purchased by ABFA. This marks ABFA's first ATR fleet, which will be operated by Sun Air in Bulgaria. The transaction was led by Partner Hendra Ong, with support from his team."

On October 13, 2025, Dentons HPRP participated in a complex aviation transaction, advising ABFA Investments, an international single-family office, on the acquisition of five ATR 72-212A “600 Version” aircraft from NAM Air. The transaction involved a two-layered purchase process, where the aircraft were first acquired by Summit Aerospace Services LLC from NAM Air, after which ABFA Investments purchased them from Summit. This intricate deal required compliance with regulations across eight jurisdictions, including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Bulgaria, and three U.S. states (New York, Oklahoma, and Florida). The aircraft will be operated by Sun Air - ABFA in Bulgaria, marking the company’s inaugural ATR fleet. The Dentons HPRP team leading this transaction included Hendra Ong (Partner), Ken Atyk Nastiti (Senior Associate), and Gregorius Alisander Ponglapik (Associate), all of whom are part of the firm's Aviation practice.
