Sembcorp Green Acquires 100% Stake in ReNew Sun Bright for ₹1,700 Crore

"Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited has acquired a 100% stake in ReNew Sun Bright, which operates a 300MW solar power asset in Rajasthan, for approximately ₹1,700 crore ($190 million). The acquisition was advised by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, with a team led by Jatin Aneja and Dhrupad Pant. Sembcorp Green is a significant player in India's renewable energy sector, managing over 6.9 GW of wind and solar assets across 18 states."

In a recent transaction, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited on its acquisition of ReNew Sun Bright Private Limited from ReNew Private Limited. Sembcorp Green Infra has acquired a 100% stake in ReNew Sun Bright, which operates a 300MW solar power asset in Rajasthan, for approximately ₹1,700 crore (around $190 million). The transaction was led by Jatin Aneja, Partner and National Practice Head – Infrastructure, Energy and Project Finance, and Dhrupad Pant, Partner. They were supported by Ishita Sehgal (Principal Associate), Suryansh Srivastava (Associate), Pratyush Gupta (Associate), Abhishek Choudhary (Associate), and Khushi Joshi (Associate). Additionally, the transaction team received support from Ashoo Gupta (Partner), Nitika Dwivedi (Partner), Nimish Malpani (Principal Associate), Janhavi Singh (Associate), Saksham Nalotia (Associate), and Sonal Nandu (Associate).
