Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Aurelius on its acquisition of Xylem's international smart metering business, which is based in the US. The transaction, which is still subject to regulatory approval, involves the acquisition of Xylem's water metering, heat metering, and advanced metering infrastructure business outside of North America. This acquisition will be carved out from Xylem’s global operations across more than 20 jurisdictions, including Europe, the UK, and North Africa. The Freshfields team that participated in this transaction included Counsel Lukas Pomaroli and Associate Marcel Neuhauser, along with a team from the firm's US and German offices.
