"Triniti Advises on Sustainable Water Services Action Plan for Estonia"

Collaborating with Civitta, Keskkonnalahendused, and PowerHouse, Triniti provided guidance on a short-term action plan and a long-term strategy based on an OECD report. The initiative is expected to lead to a more sustainable financing model and better water service quality across Estonia, with funding from the European Union."

Triniti, along with the consortium partners Civitta, Keskkonnalahendused, and PowerHouse, has advised the European Commission and the Ministry of Climate of Estonia in a consultancy project focused on sustainable water services. The project, titled "Implementation of the Action Plan towards Sustainable Water Services," spans 1.5 years and aims to address the challenges faced by Estonia’s water sector, including the fragmentation of water companies and regional disparities in the affordability, quality, and access to water services. The consultancy team provided guidance to the Ministry of Climate and the Competition Authority on executing a short-term action plan and formulating a long-term strategy as outlined in the OECD's 2022 report, "Towards Sustainable Water Services in Estonia: Analyses and Action Plan." The initiative is expected to lead to a more sustainable financing model for the water sector and the consolidation of water companies, ultimately enhancing the quality and pricing of water services nationwide. The project is funded by the European Union. The Triniti team involved in this project included Senior Associates Ain Kalme and Sandor Elias.
