Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advises senior lenders on financing of EDS Emballage LBO

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advised BNP Paribas, Banque Populaire Grand Ouest, Caisse d'Epargne et de Prévoyance Bretagne Pays de Loire and Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole Mutuel Atlantique Vendée as senior lenders in the financing of the primary LBO of EDS Emballage, on the occasion of B & Capital’s entry into the company alongside management. The transaction provided financing for the primary leveraged buyout of EDS Emballage, facilitating B & Capital’s acquisition of a controlling stake while management retained a significant interest. As part of the deal, François-Emerick de Forville, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, reinvested in the capital. Founded in 1997 and acquired in 2012 by Emmanuel de Misouard, EDS Emballage is a specialized distributor of technical packaging solutions for the fresh-food sections of major retail chains. From its site in Saint-Philbert-de-Bouaine (Vendée), the company supplies technical trays, films, delicatessen packaging and labels, with a strong focus on MAP and SKIN technologies. It employs more than 40 people and serves over 1,400 clients. Hogan Lovells Cadwalader represented BNP Paribas, Banque Populaire Grand Ouest, Caisse d'Epargne et de Prévoyance Bretagne Pays de Loire and Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole Mutuel Atlantique Vendée as senior lenders, with a team composed of: Sabine Bironneau-Loy (partner) and Quentin De Donder (associate) in financing.
