Goodwin advises Jolt Capital on acquisition of Mirova private equity arm

Goodwin advised Jolt Capital in its acquisition of the private equity arm of Mirova. The transaction covers the acquisition of Mirova’s private equity activities, including the Mirova Environment Acceleration Capital (MEAC) and Mirova Impact Life Essentials (MILE) funds. As part of the deal, the teams dedicated to these two strategies and the full portfolios of the funds will be transferred to Jolt Capital, which will assume their management. Investment strategies and impact objectives will remain unchanged. The acquisition expands Jolt Capital’s investment platform to European advanced-technology growth companies with revenues between €3 million and €10 million, complementing its existing growth funds that target deeptech companies with revenues above €10 million. MEAC invests in European growth companies addressing major environmental challenges. MILE supports unlisted French and European growth companies with proven business models that develop innovative technological solutions responding to social and societal needs. The integration of these two strategies will also reinforce Jolt Capital’s impact investment offering.
