Advant Nctm and White & Case Advise on Elevion Group Acquisition of Bts Holdings Italy

Advant Nctm, in collaboration with the Czech firm Skils, advised Elevion Group, while White & Case and Volpe & Partners advised Bts Bioenergy Europe in the transaction. Advant Altana and Freeths were engaged for French and English law matters respectively. The transaction completed the acquisition by Elevion Group of 100% of Bts Holdings Italy and its subsidiaries from Bts Bioenergy Europe. The target is active in EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) and O&M (operation and maintenance) for biogas and biomethane plants, with operations concentrated mainly in Italy and additional presence in other European markets including France and the United Kingdom. The scope of the deal includes a pipeline of nine plants located in Northern Italy, of which three are already operational and six are in the process of conversion from biogas to biomethane. At full capacity the combined output is expected to be approximately 30 million standard cubic metres of biomethane per year.
