A&O Shearman represented Alicorp and its subsidiaries in Peru, Colombia, Spain and Ecuador in connection with multi-jurisdictional senior unsecured credit facilities totaling up to USD420 million and COP188.6 billion. The transaction comprises an aggregate financing package that combines a USD revolving credit facility for the parent company with term loans for three subsidiaries. Specifically, the facilities comprise: a USD revolving credit facility for Alicorp S.A.A.; a dual-tranche Colombian peso and USD term loan for Alicorp Colombia S.A.S.; a USD term loan for Alicorp Holdco España, S.L.U.; and a USD term loan for Alicorp Ecuador S.A. The financing supports Alicorp’s ongoing regional expansion across Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and other markets. The company, Peru’s largest consumer goods group, recently assumed direct operation of the home care business it acquired from Unilever in Colombia, and the new facilities reflect strong lender interest and provide capacity for continued growth across the region. As Denise Grant, Partner at A&O Shearman, commented: “We were pleased to advise Alicorp and its subsidiaries on this multi-jurisdictional financing, spanning four countries and two currencies, this transaction demonstrates strong lender interest and positions the company for continued growth across the region.” A&O Shearman represented Alicorp and its subsidiaries with a team composed by: Denise Grant, Partner (New York), Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure; Pedro de Elizalde, Associate (New York); Leopoldo Melo, Associate (Washington, D.C.); Kayla O'Brien, Associate (New York); Vanessa Cuellas, Partner (Madrid), Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure; Sara Sanz, Senior Associate (Madrid); Miguel Gonzalo, Associate (Madrid); and Paula Anderson, Partner (New York), who provided sanctions support.
