Bird & Bird advised Tethis in the transaction, acting for Tethis in the transfer of the See.d software and engineering division from MACS and in the related long‑term manufacturing and supply agreement with Everex. The transaction transfers the See.d software and engineering division, together with its intellectual property and engineering know‑how, from MACS to Tethis, an Italian company specializing in oncological diagnostics and liquid biopsy solutions. With the acquisition, Tethis assumes full control of the development and commercialization of the See.d platform. Concurrently, Everex, an Italian developer and manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic instrumentation, entered a long‑term manufacturing and supply agreement under which it will support production and the future expansion of the platform’s manufacturing capacity to meet anticipated adoption of the technology. Bird & Bird represented Tethis with a multidisciplinary team composed by: partners Afra Casiraghi and Calogero Porrello (corporate), associate Alice Maria Cuccio (corporate support), partner Claudia Ricciardi (intellectual property) and associate Giulia Velcich (intellectual property support).
