Akerman Advises Amerant Bancorp on $50 Million Senior Notes Offering

Akerman represented Amerant Bancorp Inc. in the closing of its registered public offering of $50 million aggregate principal amount of 7.00% Senior Notes due 2031. The offering closed with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. serving as the sole book-running manager. Amerant Bancorp intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital, providing capital to support the organic growth of Amerant Bank, N.A., the Company’s wholly owned bank subsidiary, repaying outstanding indebtedness and repurchasing shares of the Company’s Class A common stock under its stock repurchase program. Amerant Bancorp, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, is a bank holding company that provides deposit, credit and wealth management services through its primary subsidiary, Amerant Bank, N.A., across 21 banking centers in South Florida and two in Tampa.
