Baker McKenzie Advises Bayer on Sale of Cancer Drug Stivarga to Grünenthal

Baker McKenzie advised Bayer AG on the sale of the cancer treatment Stivarga (regorafenib) to Grünenthal. The transaction provides for the sale of Stivarga to Grünenthal for a purchase price of up to EUR 375 million. The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions, including the required regulatory approvals. Closing is expected in late 2026 or early 2027. Stivarga is an oral multikinase inhibitor indicated for selected patient groups with metastatic colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumors and hepatocellular carcinoma. It is approved and available in more than 90 markets worldwide, and over the past ten years more than one million patients have been treated with Stivarga.
