Apogee Enterprises Acquires GroGlass

Oaklins’ Latvia team acted as exclusive sell-side advisor to Kartesia and to GroGlass’ founder and management team in the sale of GroGlass to Apogee Enterprises. Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: APO), a Minneapolis-headquartered provider of architectural building products, services and high-performance coated materials, has acquired GroGlass, a Riga-based developer and manufacturer of high-performance anti-reflective and UV-protective glass coatings. The acquisition brings GroGlass’ differentiated coating technologies and materials science expertise into Apogee’s performance surfaces segment, broadening Apogee’s product offering and market reach while expanding its manufacturing and R&D presence in Europe. GroGlass, based in Riga, is a supplier of advanced glass surface solutions for display, architectural and technical applications, with premium brands recognised for optical clarity and durability and a customer base spanning museums, electronics and architectural design. The company employs around 190 people at its research and production base in Riga. Kartesia is a pan-European specialist provider of financing solutions, managing over US$8.6 billion in assets and supporting mid-market companies across a wide range of industries with offices across Europe.
