Paul Hastings Advises HomeExchange Shareholders on Verlinvest Investment

Paul Hastings (Europe) LLP advised Ternel (Capital Croissance), ISAI and the founders of HomeExchange in connection with the entry of Verlinvest into the company’s capital. The transaction marks a new stage in HomeExchange’s development, intended to consolidate its position as the global leader in home exchange and to make home swapping a routine travel option worldwide, with particular focus on North America and Western Europe. HomeExchange currently lists more than 600,000 homes across 155 countries. Over the past 12 months, 2.3 million travellers completed an exchange on the platform and 11.8 million nights were booked. The operation reflects strategic continuity for HomeExchange: founders and long-time leaders Emmanuel Arnaud and Charles-Édouard Girard remain at the helm and have increased their stake. Ternel, a reference shareholder since 2015, has renewed its commitment alongside the founders to support this next growth phase. ISAI, which joined the shareholding in 2021, has completed its investment cycle. With Verlinvest joining the capital, HomeExchange intends to continue developing its offering and user experience, grow its community and reinforce its leadership in its core markets, notably the United States and Western Europe.
