Moore & Van Allen Advises Women's Tennis Association on Partnership to Relocate Headquarters and Host WTA Finals in Charlotte

Moore & Van Allen advised the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) in connection with its partnership with the Charlotte Sports Foundation to bring the WTA Finals to Charlotte and to relocate the WTA's global headquarters to the city. Under the agreement, Charlotte will host the WTA Finals for three consecutive years beginning in 2027 and continuing through 2029, while the relocation of the WTA's global headquarters will establish a year-round presence for the organization in the Queen City. The partnership is intended to position Charlotte as a global hub for women's professional tennis and to create new opportunities for economic growth, tourism and international visibility. Moore & Van Allen represented the WTA throughout the development of the project, working alongside the Charlotte Sports Foundation and stakeholders across the public and private sectors to bring the initiative to fruition. Moore & Van Allen represented the Women's Tennis Association with a team composed by: Walter Price (Managing Director & Head of Public Affairs), Beth Friedrich, Beth Buckner, Bradford Sneeden and Towers Mingledorff.
