Canyon US Real Estate Opportunity Fund Closes at Approximately $570 Million, Exceeding $500 Million Target

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett represented Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC in the formation and raising of the Canyon US Real Estate Opportunity Fund (CREOF). The fund closed with approximately $570 million of commitments, surpassing its $500 million target. CREOF is an opportunistic real estate investment strategy that pursues equity investments in commercial and residential assets across the United States. The fund operates under a flexible mandate that includes asset acquisitions and recapitalizations, stressed and distressed situations, value-add repositioning, non-performing loans, and construction and mid-construction financing.
