Baker McKenzie advised Ooredoo Group on its strategic investment in Zankore, a dedicated AI compute and neocloud platform developed together with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH), NVIDIA and Nokia. FTI acted as financial adviser to Ooredoo Group. The transaction marks Ooredoo Group’s entry into the AI compute sector. As lead investor, Ooredoo will commit approximately USD 800 million to support Zankore’s launch and initial development and will acquire a 49% stake in the venture. Zankore is intended to deliver full‑stack AI capabilities to meet growing demand for AI infrastructure across Southeast Asia. The platform is targeting 1 GW of NVIDIA DSX AI Factory capacity and will be developed initially in Indonesia with plans to expand across the region. The investment builds on Ooredoo’s existing digital infrastructure portfolio, which includes connectivity, international fibre and subsea cable assets and AI‑ready data centres.
