ALG acted as sole legal adviser to the Independent Directors of Irish Continental Group plc in relation to a recommended cash offer of €1.2bn from ICG’s senior management team. The transaction involves a recommended management buyout valuing Irish Continental Group at €1.2bn. The offer was put forward by the company’s senior management team as a cash proposal to the Independent Directors. Irish Continental Group is a leading Irish-based maritime transport group. Its activities include the transport of passengers, cars and roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) freight under the Irish Ferries brand on routes connecting Ireland, Britain and continental Europe. ICG also provides container lift-on/lift-off (LoLo) freight services on routes between Ireland and continental Europe under the Eucon brand.
