Baker McKenzie Advises Berkshire Hathaway on Acquisition of Taylor Morrison

"Baker McKenzie acted as antitrust regulatory counsel to Berkshire Hathaway Inc. on its acquisition of Taylor Morrison for $72.50 per share, valuing Taylor Morrison at approximately $6.8 billion equity and $8.5 billion enterprise. The deal combines Taylor Morrison with Berkshire’s Clayton Properties Group, creating the fourth-largest US homebuilder."

Baker McKenzie acted as antitrust and regulatory counsel to Berkshire Hathaway Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Taylor Morrison. The transaction was effected at a price of USD 72.50 per common share in cash, representing a total equity value for Taylor Morrison of approximately USD 6.8 billion and a total enterprise value of approximately USD 8.5 billion. The acquisition joins Taylor Morrison with Berkshire Hathaway’s site-built homebuilding division, Clayton Properties Group, a collection of 15 established regional and local homebuilders. The combined companies delivered nearly 23,000 site-built home closings in 2025, operate in 21 states and 52 housing markets, and serve more than 700 communities nationally. The combination creates the fourth-largest homebuilding operation in the United States.
