Mayer Brown Advises Charterhouse on Structuring Acquisition of Batibig

Mayer Brown advised Charterhouse Capital Partners in connection with Charterhouse’s entry into exclusive negotiations to acquire Batibig. The transaction concerns the proposed acquisition of Batibig, a major French provider of B2B emergency repair, maintenance and building renovation services. Founded in 2005, Batibig employs more than 2,000 people across a nationwide network of companies and performs in excess of 300,000 interventions annually for a diversified base of professional clients, including property managers and condominium administrators, across both private and public markets. Batibig’s multi-service, multi-regional platform offers a single point of contact for emergency repairs, maintenance and renovation needs for residential and commercial buildings. Since its inception, the company has expanded beyond its historical trades (plumbing, waterproofing, roofing) into complementary specialties such as external thermal insulation, air conditioning and electrical works. Charterhouse will invest alongside Batibig cofounders Charles and Justin Bignon, who will continue to lead the company together with the existing management team. Leveraging its expertise in external growth and geographic expansion, Charterhouse intends to support Batibig’s acquisition strategy to strengthen its presence in France and internationally with the ambition of building a pan‑European leader. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
