Freshfields advises Charterhouse Capital Partners on acquisition of Batibig

Freshfields advised Charterhouse Capital Partners, while Mayer Brown and A&O Shearman also advised Charterhouse on tax and regulatory matters respectively. Moncey Avocats advised the existing shareholders of Batibig, and Ropes & Gray advised Ares Management. Charterhouse Capital Partners has entered into exclusive negotiations with the existing shareholders to acquire a majority stake in Batibig, a leading French provider of B2B emergency repair, maintenance and renovation services. Charterhouse will invest in partnership with Batibig co-founders Charles and Justin Bignon, who will continue to lead the company alongside the existing management team. The completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. Founded in 2005, Batibig has built a leading position on the French market with more than €500 million in revenue through a differentiated multi-service, multi-regional platform offering clients a single point of contact for emergency repairs, maintenance and renovation of residential and commercial buildings. Batibig operates through a network of companies in France, employs more than 2,000 people and carries out over 300,000 interventions per year.
