Borenius advises Fintoil Hamina on EUR 105 million financing round

Borenius acted as transaction counsel to Fintoil Hamina Oy in its EUR 105 million financing round, which was subscribed by Taaleri Plc through its subsidiary Taaleri Sijoitus (EUR 30 million) and Norwegian energy-focused private equity investor HitecVision (EUR 75 million). The investment supports Fintoil’s strategic ambition to develop into a leading European biofuel company. The company is targeting strong double-digit revenue growth to EUR 138 million in 2025 (representing 43.4% growth from 2024) and aims to achieve an EBITDA margin of approximately 20 per cent by 2030. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September 2026 and is subject to customary closing conditions and required approvals.
