Cescon Barrieu and Lobo de Rizzo Advise on BRL535 Million CRI for Iguatemi

Cescon Barrieu and Lobo de Rizzo acted as legal counsel in a securitisation transaction: Cescon Barrieu advised Iguatemi Empresa de Shopping Centers as debtor, and Lobo de Rizzo represented the underwriters Banco Safra, XP Investimentos Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários and Banco Santander (Brasil). The transaction comprised the 608th issuance of Real Estate Receivables Certificates (CRI) by Opea Securitizadora, backed by real estate credits owed by Iguatemi, in the total amount of BRL535 million. The offering was carried out through a public distribution under CVM Instruction 160, with intermediation by Banco Safra, XP Investimentos Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários and Banco Santander (Brasil), which together formed the underwriting syndicate for the transaction. Cescon Barrieu represented Iguatemi Empresa de Shopping Centers with a team composed by: partners Marcelo Moura, Ronald Herscovici and Mariana Rodrigues Machado Borges, supported by associates André Brandão, Carolina Carvalho and Gustavo Ferreira da Silva. Lobo de Rizzo represented the underwriters Banco Safra, XP Investimentos Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários and Banco Santander (Brasil) with a team composed by: partners Maria Costa Neves Machado and Marília do Valle Farias, together with associates Maria Massi de Brito and Thomaz Matheus Pereira Magalhães.
