B4 Investimenti SGR acquires majority stake in Frana

Gianni & Origoni, Gusmitta & Associati and PwC advised B4 Investimenti SGR (through the B4 H III – Fondo EuVECA fund); GPLaw and Studio Franchina Adolfo Battista assisted Frana - Polifibre and the seller; RS Advisory (RS di Riccardo Sciutto) supported the project design and execution; and Greco, Vitali e Associati advised Banco BPM. B4 Investimenti SGR has completed the acquisition, through the B4 H III – Fondo EuVECA fund, of a majority of the capital of Frana - Polifibre, a manufacturer of synthetic fibres derived primarily from recycled plastic. The transaction, the fund’s second investment, was structured as a buy-out executed in partnership with entrepreneur Enrico Frana, who will remain chief executive officer. The operation also involves manager Riccardo Sciutto, a senior executive with international experience, and Gianpaolo Torri, who has worked at Frana for more than twenty years. The transaction and the implementation of the related industrial plan were financed by Banco BPM.
