A&O Shearman Advises Summit Ventures on Acquisition of XC São Paulo in MoonPay X Games League

A&O Shearman advised Summit Ventures on its acquisition of X Games Club (XC) São Paulo in the MoonPay X Games League (XGL); Summit Ventures was advised by Magellan Capital. Through the transaction, Summit Ventures, a UAE-based investor group led by entrepreneur Ali El Ali, has assumed ownership of XC São Paulo and will partner with Brazilian skateboarding legend Bob Burnquist, who will serve as general manager, to develop one of the premier clubs in the XGL. Launched in 2026, the XGL will feature four teams in its inaugural summer league; this acquisition secures one of those four franchises. The XGL is a portfolio company of MSP Sports Capital.
