De Pardieu advises Coverguard on acquisition of LMA group

De Pardieu acted for the Coverguard group, a majority participation of the Dentressangle family investment holding, in the acquisition of the LMA group. The LMA group, owned by the company Lebeurre, specialises in the design and distribution of technical garments, workwear and body protection equipment. Founded in the 19th century, LMA has historic textile know-how and a broad range of products intended for professional users. Coverguard is a group focused on personal protective equipment. The acquisition of the LMA group forms part of an external growth strategy to strengthen Coverguard’s positioning in body protection and to broaden its product offering. The operation is founded on the complementarity of the two groups’ activities, combining LMA’s textile expertise with Coverguard’s multi-specialist positioning in personal protective equipment. The acquisition is also intended to support Coverguard’s development in its target markets, notably in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the backing of its shareholder Dentressangle. De Pardieu represented client Coverguard (majority owned by Dentressangle) with a team composed by: Cédric Chanas (partner), Alix Amaury (counsel), Albéric Duhamel-Delattre (associate), Wally Doucoure (associate) on Corporate/M&A; Priscilla van den Perre (partner) and Enguerrand Maloisel (counsel) on tax; Antoine Alexis (associate) and Marion Lequien (associate) on real estate.
