A&O Shearman and Freshfields advise on ANIMA Holding’s acquisition of remaining 20% of Castello SGR from Oaktree-managed funds

A&O Shearman advised ANIMA Holding, and Freshfields advised the funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, in the transaction. ANIMA Holding completed the acquisition of the residual 20% stake in its subsidiary Castello SGR from certain funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. The transfer followed the exercise of a put option by Oaktree as provided for in the original agreements between the parties. Castello SGR is active in the management of alternative investments, particularly in real estate. The company manages more than 90 active funds and over 400 properties across various uses, serving in excess of 150 investors. A&O Shearman represented ANIMA Holding with a team composed by: Andrea De Pieri (partner), supported by senior associates Flavia Guancioli and Eliana Cioffi.
