A&O Shearman advises Prosus on €480 million investment in Alan

"A&O Shearman advised Prosus, lead investor, on a €480 million fundraising in Alan that values the company at €5.5 billion. Prosus, listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, invested €400 million alongside new and existing investors. The funds will support Alan’s international expansion and accelerate its technology rollout; completion is subject to French regulatory approvals."

A&O Shearman advised Prosus, as lead investor, on its investment in Alan. A&O Shearman advised Prosus on a EUR480 million fundraising round completed by Alan, the European health insurance player, which values the company at EUR5.5 billion. Listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, Prosus invested EUR400 million as part of the round alongside new and existing investors. The investment enables Prosus to strengthen its exposure to the healthtech sector amid a rapid transformation of health services driven by artificial intelligence technologies. By relying on Alan’s platform combining insurance, prevention and access to care, Prosus intends to support the development of next-generation health solutions to meet growing demand for digital services in the medical and insurance sectors. The funds raised will notably support Alan’s international development and accelerate the rollout of its technology solutions. Founded in 2016, Alan has an established presence across several jurisdictions. Completion of the transaction remains subject to obtaining French regulatory approvals.
