A&O Shearman advises consortium of banks on Motor Oil’s EUR400 million senior notes offering

"A&O Shearman advised a consortium of 13 banks on Motor Oil (Hellas) Corinth Refineries’ EUR400 million senior notes offering. Motor Oil is Greece’s largest refinery by crude capacity (approximately 40%), operating across refining, fuels marketing, electrification and the circular economy, with a Nelson Complexity Index of 12.61 and about 4,400 employees."

A&O Shearman advised a consortium of 13 banks in connection with a EUR400 million senior notes offering by Motor Oil (Hellas) Corinth Refineries (Motor Oil). The transaction involved the issuance of EUR400 million in senior notes by Motor Oil. Motor Oil is a leading energy group with more than 50 years of history, operating across key segments of the broader energy value chain including refining and fuels marketing, electrification and the circular economy. Motor Oil is the largest oil refinery in Greece by crude oil operating capacity, representing approximately 40% of the country’s total refining capacity, and its refinery is one of the most complex in Europe with a Nelson Complexity Index of 12.61. Headquartered in Athens, Motor Oil employs approximately 4,400 people and maintains a strong operational footprint domestically and internationally. A&O Shearman represented the consortium of 13 banks with a team composed by: partner John Kicken, senior associate Odysseas Theofanis, and associate Stavros Bakolas, supported by research assistant Ioanna Papageorgakopoulou.
