Bredin Prat advised the Fonds de dotation Anne et Frédéric Potter pour l'éducation and its founders on the transformation of the endowment fund into a foundation recognised as being of public utility. The recognition of public utility was formalised by a decree of the Prime Minister dated 24 March 2026. As part of this transformation, the new foundation is establishing strengthened governance: a board of directors composed of qualified personalities, ex officio members drawn from the scientific and academic spheres (including CentraleSupélec and the ENS Paris-Saclay), and a government commissioner. Created in 2019 by Anne and Frédéric Potter, the Fonds de dotation Anne et Frédéric Potter pour l'éducation aims to promote equal opportunities in access to scientific higher education by supporting meritorious students from modest backgrounds. It awards personalised scholarships to cover students’ essential needs and accompanies its beneficiaries throughout their academic journeys. The conversion into a foundation recognised as being of public utility is intended to consolidate and perpetuate the fund’s mission, to reinforce its credibility through official state recognition, and to facilitate the development of strategic partnerships with other actors engaged in public-interest missions. Since its creation, the fund has supported more than 150 students, several of whom have joined leading scientific grandes écoles in France, including Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec, ENS Saclay, ENS Lyon, Telecom Paris, Mines de Paris, ENSTA and ENPC. Bredin Prat represented the Fonds de dotation Anne et Frédéric Potter pour l'éducation and its founders with a team composed by: Corporate: Olivier Assant (partner) and Guilhaume Agbodjan.
