Burges Salmon Advises Axeleo Capital on Lead Investment in Exergy3’s £10m Seed Round
"Burges Salmon advised Axeleo Capital on its lead investment in Exergy3 as part of a £10 million seed funding round. Exergy3, an Edinburgh clean‑tech firm developing ultra‑high‑temperature thermal energy storage to convert surplus renewable electricity into industrial heat, received funding led by Axeleo’s Green Tech Industry I fund, with new investors Bayern Kapital and Kibo Invest and participation from Scottish Enterprise, Zero Carbon Capital and Old College Capital. The investment will help Exergy3 move from demonstration to commercial deployment by scaling manufacturing, expanding its team and rolling out technology across UK and European industrial sites. The deal was led by Burges Salmon’s corporate team (Alex Lloyd, Will Penfold, Niall Mackle and Trulie Taylor) with cross‑firm support on employment and commercial/technology matters."
