Baker McKenzie Advises on MTT Shipping & Logistics’ MYR 652M IPO and Bursa Main Market Listing

"Baker McKenzie advised the Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners on the MYR 652 million IPO and listing of MTT Shipping and Logistics Berhad on the Main Market of Bursa Securities, with shares commencing trading today. The deal — the largest transportation & logistics IPO on Bursa since 2013 — was led by CIMB Investment Bank (principal adviser) with CLSA and Affin Hwang as joint bookrunners and included a Malaysian retail tranche and an international institutional offering under US Regulation S. Baker McKenzie (including its Singapore member firm Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow) acted as legal adviser to the Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners — namely CIMB Investment Bank Berhad (principal adviser), CLSA Limited and CLSA Securities Malaysia Sdn (Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners), and Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad (Joint Bookrunner). The transaction was a MYR 652 million initial public offering and listing of MTT Shipping and Logistics Berhad on the Main Market of Bursa Securities Berhad; the company’s shares commenced trading upon listing. The IPO — the largest for Bursa’s transportation & logistics sector since 2013 — included an offering to Malaysian retail investors and to international institutional investors in reliance on Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933.
