"Watson Farley & Williams advised Navigator Energy Debt Finance LLP (NEDF), a Triple Point‑managed partnership, on a three‑year development financing to support 3GW of late‑stage battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Germany for Harmony Energy. The deal marks Triple Point’s first exposure in Germany and backs grid‑scale storage expansion."

Watson Farley & Williams advised Navigator Energy Debt Finance LLP (NEDF), a partnership managed by Triple Point, on the development financing for Harmony Energy’s German battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio. The transaction comprises a three‑year facility requested by Harmony Energy to support a portfolio of late‑stage projects totalling 3GW of BESS capacity across both transmission and distribution‑level connections. The financing forms part of Harmony Energy’s wider German development pipeline and is intended to accelerate the deployment of grid‑scale storage capacity in Germany, a key European energy market. The deal marks Triple Point’s first exposure in Germany and builds on its strategy of supporting experienced renewable energy developers through the development phase of battery storage projects. Triple Point is a London‑based investment manager with over £2.5bn assets under management. Harmony Energy Limited, founded in 2010, is a UK‑rooted renewable developer and operator with an international track record in the UK, Germany, France and Poland; the group has delivered over 700MW of operational battery storage across 18 sites and maintains a global pipeline exceeding 12GW. Watson Farley & Williams represented Navigator Energy Debt Finance LLP (NEDF) with a team composed by: Thomas Hollenhorst, Project Finance Partner; Managing Associates Jakob Paluszkiewicz and Roman Schneider; Associates Finja Schmale and Stefan Riedmeyer; Frankfurt Partner Florian Kutzbach; and Managing Associate Kathy Buenaventura. Further advice on the transaction was provided by WFW’s Corporate, Real Estate, Regulatory and Tax teams.
