Osborne Clarke Advises Energreen Trading on enspired’s Entry into Italy with Approximately 1 GW BESS Pipeline

"Osborne Clarke advised Energreen Trading on a strategic partnership with enspired to bring enspired’s AI-powered cross‑market trading platform to Italy and develop a c.962 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) pipeline. Energreen Trading, controlled by Energie S.p.A., provides local market access and regulatory expertise; several hundred megawatts are expected to reach commissioning in 12–24 months."

Osborne Clarke advised Energreen Trading in its strategic partnership with enspired. The transaction brings enspired, Europe’s leading optimizer of battery energy storage systems (BESS), into the Italian market through a strategic collaboration with Energreen Trading, an energy trading company controlled by Energie S.p.A. Energreen Trading will provide local market access, regulatory expertise and operational understanding to support the partnership’s project pipeline. The partnership is backed by a 962 MW project pipeline, with several hundred megawatts expected to move toward commissioning over the next 12 to 24 months. The collaboration will enable battery asset owners to capture value across multiple revenue streams, supported by enspired’s AI‑powered, cross‑market trading platform being introduced to Italy for the first time. Osborne Clarke advised Energreen Trading at all stages of the execution of the partnership agreement with enspired, from drafting and negotiating the contractual documentation through to closing, and also provided advice on the relevant Italian energy regulatory framework.
