KK Group to acquire PowerCon, Danish shore power specialist

"Bech-Bruun advised the sellers on the sale of PowerCon to KK Group. PowerCon, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Hobro, Denmark, is a frontrunner in shore power with more than 200 employees supplying ports worldwide. KK Group, owned by A.P. Moller Holding A/S, will support PowerCon’s global growth; transaction subject to regulatory approval."

Bech-Bruun advised the sellers in the sale of PowerCon to KK Group. The transaction concerns the sale of PowerCon, a Danish power conversion group founded in 2009 that designs, builds and implements innovative, flexible and scalable power conversion solutions. PowerCon has established a strong position in shore power and is recognised as an industry frontrunner in shore power solutions, supporting the energy transition and maritime decarbonisation. Headquartered in Hobro, Denmark, the group employs more than 200 people and delivers solutions to ports worldwide. KK Group is an international technology partner delivering power solutions to the renewable energy sector and other energy-intensive industries, backed by decades of industry experience. A.P. Moller Holding A/S is the owner of KK Group. The acquisition is intended to support PowerCon’s continued global growth. The three founders, Allan Holm Jørgensen, Kim Brøndum Larsen and Peter Castberg Knudsen, have reinvested in KK Group and will continue as active employees and co-owners. The transaction is subject to approval from the relevant regulatory authorities. Bech-Bruun represented the sellers with a team composed by: Morten Bruun-Larsen, Rasmus Kaslund, Jasmin Sirach, Victor Søndergaard Nielsen, Oliver Rasmussen and Adam Sahed Haddioui.
