Barnes & Thornburg represented logistics provider OIA Global in its acquisition of Cargo Services Inc., the Indianapolis-based international freight forwarding and customs brokerage firm. OIA Global, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, announced the transaction on April 7, 2026. The firm said the acquisition will expand its freight forwarding and customs brokerage capabilities in the Midwest and provide a direct presence in Indianapolis, described in the announcement as "one of the most connected logistics cities in the United States." The deal supports OIA Global’s strategy to build its own network in key domestic markets by strengthening its operations in the Midwest and enhancing its ability to serve customers from a major domestic logistics hub.
