CMS Advises Solar Park Trakiya on Commissioning of Sinitovo 57.6 MWp PV and Co‑Located 24/48 MWh BESS in Bulgaria

"CMS advised Solar Park Trakiya JSCo and Trichkov & Partners advised Drag Holding Ltd on the commissioning and start of operations of the 57.6 MWp Sinitovo photovoltaic project and its co‑located 24/48 MWh battery energy storage system in Bulgaria. The project reached operation in early April 2026; financing included EUR 32m (2025) and EUR 8.2m (2026) facilities from EuroBank Bulgaria."

CMS advised Solar Park Trakiya JSCo, and Trichkov & Partners advised Drag Holding Ltd in relation to the commissioning and start of operations of the Sinitovo photovoltaic project and its co‑located battery energy storage system in Bulgaria. The transaction comprised the commissioning and commencement of commercial operation of the 57.6‑megawatt‑peak Sinitovo PV plant together with a co‑located battery energy storage system sized at 24/48 megawatt‑hours. The project, developed by Solar Park Trakiya JSCo, is a joint venture between the original developers and Drag Holding Ltd and reached operation in early April 2026. Project financing included a EUR 32 million facility agreed in 2025 and a further EUR 8.2 million facility agreed in 2026, both provided by EuroBank Bulgaria. CMS had previously advised Solar Park Trakiya in 2024 on aspects of licensing, financing and project development for the Sinitovo project. CMS represented Solar Park Trakiya JSCo with a team composed by: Managing Partner Kostadin Sirleshtov; Partner Borislava Piperkova; Senior Associates Diyan Georgiev, Elena Yotova‑Yordanova and Viktoriya Toneva; and Trainees Boris Kirov and Niya Ivanova.
