Latham & Watkins Advises Goldman Sachs on Landmark MXN 5.1 Billion Credit Facility for Fibra EXI

"Latham & Watkins advised Goldman Sachs on a senior secured term loan facility of up to MXN 5.1 billion to Fibra EXI, which will use the financing to help acquire a majority stake in Concesionaria de Infraestructura del Bajío, the operator of the Salamanca–León toll road. The transaction is the first Mexican Fibra‑E to combine an international private debt placement with an international bank credit facility, both denominated in Mexican pesos. The Latham team was led by partner Guido Liniado, with associate Andres Chester, visiting associates Jorge Hinzpeter and Fathia Zapata, and tax advice from partner Elena Romanova."

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Goldman Sachs (the arranger and lender) in the transaction; Latham also previously advised PGIM, Inc. and certain of its managed accounts as note purchasers in Fibra EXI’s international debt private placement. The transaction is a senior secured term loan facility of up to MXN 5.1 billion to Fibra EXI to help fund its acquisition of a majority stake in Concesionaria de Infraestructura del Bajío, S.A. de C.V., the operator of the Salamanca–León toll road in Guanajuato. The financing marked the first time a Mexican Fibra‑E combined an international private debt placement with an international bank credit facility, both denominated in Mexican pesos.
