Baker McKenzie Vietnam Advises on US$488M Syndicated Loan to Techcom Securities — Largest Syndicated Facility for a Vietnamese Securities Firm

"Baker McKenzie Vietnam advised the mandated lead arrangers, underwriters and bookrunners — including Cathay United Bank, CTBC Bank, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Mizuho Bank and Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank — on a US$488 million unsecured syndicated loan to Techcom Securities (TCBS). The facility is the largest syndicated loan ever recorded for a securities firm in Vietnam and involved 26 lenders from Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Proceeds will boost TCBS’s margin lending capacity and support its investment and market‑making activities. The deal team was led by Managing Partner Oanh Nguyen and Special Counsel Thai Ninh (Daniel) Ngo in Vietnam, with Principal Emmanuel Hadjidakis and supporting lawyers in Singapore and Vietnam."
