Akerman Advises HEICO Corporation on 80% Acquisition of Sherwood Avionics and Accessories

"Akerman advised HEICO Corporation on its acquisition of an 80% stake in Sherwood Avionics and Accessories, with the remaining ownership staying with Sherwood management. Sherwood, founded in 1992 and based near Miami’s Opa-locka Airport, is an FAA and EASA Part 145 repair station providing defense-focused MRO services (including APUs and complex electro-mechanical components) for military fixed- and rotary-wing platforms. The deal expands HEICO’s defense MRO capabilities and strengthens its Flight Support Group’s mission-critical component overhaul presence. The Akerman deal team included partners Jonathan Awner, Christina Russo, and Austin Ownbey, with associates Taylor Jobb and Amanda Rementeria."
