Area Broker Acquires Foedus, Strengthening Tuscan Presence and Industry Expertise

"Area Broker has acquired 100% of Lucca-based insurance broker Foedus, with a merger by incorporation effective April 1, 2026. The deal strengthens Area Broker’s territorial presence in Tuscany and broadens its sector expertise; Foedus specializes in corporate insurance, notably for shipbuilding and the paper industry. Marco Borella will become branch manager of the Lucca office. Area Broker was advised by PPI & Partners (Alberto Peroni, Serena Giannuzzi) and Errepidue (due diligence); the sellers were advised by Gelmetti Studio Legale Associato (Pierfrancesco Gelmetti, Gabriele Moioli, Tomaso Piozzo di Rosignano) and Terigi Rossi & Associati (Luca Rossi)."
