AG Advokat advises Fortifikationsverket on SEK 3.5bn purchase of Gate:01 (former SAS HQ) in Frösundavik for Armed Forces headquarters

"AG Advokat advised Fortifikationsverket on the acquisition of Gate:01 (Solna Haga 2:8) in Frösundavik — the former SAS headquarters — from Fastighets AB Solna Haga for about SEK 3.5 billion. The property, located between the E4 and Brunnsviken, comprises roughly 50,000 sq m of premises and about 20 hectares of land and will be used by the Swedish Armed Forces to house the Headquarters and top leadership. The takeover is planned for September 2026 and is conditional on a government decision; extensive building adaptations will follow. AG Advokat highlighted a constructive, structured deal process and named the advising team."

AG Advokat acted for Fortifikationsverket in the acquisition of Gate:01 (Solna Haga 2:8) in Frösundavik from Fastighets AB Solna Haga (Mengus). The property, known as the former SAS head office in Frösundavik, was acquired for approximately SEK 3.5 billion. Gate:01 is located between the E4 and Brunnsviken and comprises about 50,000 sqm of lettable area and roughly 20 hectares of land. The property will be used by the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) for the Headquarters and highest command. Fortifikationsverket intends to take possession in September 2026; the acquisition is subject to a government decision and will be followed by extensive adaptation works before the Armed Forces can occupy the building.
