Bevan Brittan represented client(s) The Hyde Group in a transaction establishing a joint venture with Legal & General and advised on the real estate elements of the deal. The transaction involved the sale of a seed portfolio of more than 1,000 social rented and shared ownership homes into a newly established joint venture with Legal & General. The portfolio included six new-build schemes that formed the immediate sale offering and will sit under the joint venture structure to support future growth of the asset base. Bevan Brittan’s multidisciplinary team led the real estate work across the full transaction. The firm prepared a comprehensive data room for the sale of the six new-build schemes, compiled the necessary legal and operational data, liaised with external consultants, and drafted, negotiated and completed multiple legal documents. The team played a central role in structuring and executing the deal to ensure the real estate elements were aligned with the parties’ broader commercial objectives and in delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice within tight timeframes. The completion of the transaction establishes a strong platform for the portfolio’s future growth under the joint venture and represents an important milestone for the parties involved.
