Baker McKenzie Advises PTC on Tax Aspects of Divestiture of Kepware and ThingWorx to TPG

"Baker McKenzie advised PTC on the tax aspects of the multi‑jurisdictional divestiture of its Kepware industrial connectivity and ThingWorx IoT businesses to TPG. The work, co‑led by tax partner Margreet Nijhof, involved a cross‑border team across Baker McKenzie’s Amsterdam, Palo Alto, Dallas, Chicago, New York and other offices. PTC is a Boston‑headquartered product lifecycle management software company with over 7,000 employees and 30,000+ customers."

Baker McKenzie advised PTC (the seller) on the tax aspects of the divestiture of its businesses to TPG (the buyer). PTC completed the multi-jurisdictional sale of its Kepware industrial connectivity and ThingWorx Internet of Things (IoT) businesses to TPG, enabling PTC to advance its Intelligent Product Lifecycle vision.
