A&O Shearman advised a pool of financial institutions acting as mandated lead arrangers and original lenders, led by BNP Paribas, in the financing granted to Ali Group LLC in connection with its acquisition of Bunn Commercial LP (BUNN®). The transaction was a cross-border financing to support Ali Group — a leading global foodservice equipment company — in its acquisition of BUNN®, a manufacturer and distributor of beverage preparation and dispensing equipment (including iced coffee and tea machines, super‑automatic espresso machines, grinders, beverage dispensers, water systems and related accessories). A&O Shearman’s work included coordinating across jurisdictions and structuring the financing, with New York law advice provided for relevant aspects of the deal.
