BCLP Advises Constellation Automotive on CMA Phase 2 Clearance for Acquisition of Aston Barclay

"BCLP’s competition team advised Constellation Automotive Group and its BCA subsidiary in obtaining unconditional Phase 2 clearance from the UK Competition and Markets Authority for their completed acquisition of competitor Aston Barclay. The merger control team was led by partners Andrew Hockley and Christine Graham, with support from counsel Paul Culliford, senior associate Thomas Wright and colleagues across corporate finance, restructuring and real estate; BRG provided economic input and Alison Berridge (Monckton Chambers) advised on the hold-separate arrangements."

BCLP advised Constellation Automotive Group and its vehicle remarketing subsidiary BCA; Monckton Chambers (via Alison Berridge) provided procedural input, and BRG provided expert economic input. The transaction was Constellation/BCA’s completed acquisition of competitor Aston Barclay Vehicle Remarketing, which received unconditional Phase 2 clearance from the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
