CMS Sofia Advises VVV NextGen Storage on Acquisition of 11 Greenfield BESS Projects in Bulgaria (440 MWh)

"CMS Sofia advised VVV NextGen Storage Ltd. (Cyprus) on acquiring seven SPVs that own 11 greenfield battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Bulgaria, totaling 440 MWh. The team handled full legal due diligence, SPA negotiations and Bulgarian FDI approval; the projects are expected to be operational by the end of H1 2026. The deal team was led by partners Borislava Piperkova and Kostadin Sirleshtov."

CMS Sofia advised VVV NextGen Storage Ltd. (Cyprus) on the acquisition of seven SPVs owning 11 greenfield BESS projects developed by Bulgarian companies Power Profit JSCo and AIM Profit JSCo. The transaction covers projects with a combined 440 MWh capacity. CMS Sofia’s work included full LDDR of the projects and the SPVs, negotiations on the SPA and securing FDI approval from the Republic of Bulgaria; the projects are expected to be operational by the end of H1 2026.
