BakerHostetler Secures Second Dismissal of Class Action Against Associated Wholesale Grocers Over 2023 Employee Data Breach

"BakerHostetler announced on March 3, 2026 that it secured a second dismissal of a proposed class action against Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) stemming from an October 2023 data breach that exposed personal data for 26,579 employees. U.S. District Judge Eric F. Melgren dismissed Patterson v. AWG on Feb. 12, 2026 for lack of standing to allege injuries (e.g., identity theft, anxiety, lost time, loss of privacy); a prior suit, Jenkins v.
