Baker McKenzie Advises Zevenwouden and Noorderlinge Verzekeraars on Sale of Portfolio to De Goudse

"Baker McKenzie Amsterdam advised AFOS Zevenwouden U.A. and its broker Noorderlinge verzekeraars on the sale of their insurance portfolio to De Goudse Verzekeringen. Post-closing, the businesses will continue as De Noorderlinge within De Goudse, maintaining regional identity and their Leeuwarden office. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval with an intended transfer date of 1 July 2026."

Baker McKenzie Amsterdam represented AFOS Zevenwouden U.A. (Zevenwouden) and its insurance broker Noorderlinge verzekeraars in connection with the proposed sale of their insurance portfolio to De Goudse Verzekeringen. De Goudse Verzekeringen has agreed to acquire the insurance portfolio of Zevenwouden, including the activities of Noorderlinge verzekeraars. The acquisition is positioned to strengthen De Goudse’s presence as a regional label while continuing to deliver the products and services expected by customers, independent advisers and delegated underwriting partners. Following completion, Zevenwouden and Noorderlinge verzekeraars will continue to operate under the name De Noorderlinge as part of De Goudse. Although the trading name will change, the entities will retain their identity, regional focus and office location in Leeuwarden. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and the intended transfer date is 1 July 2026.
